Wine at The Wooden Vine

“A man fallen on hard times, sold his art collection but kept his wine cellar. When asked why he did not sell the wine, he said, ‘A man can live without art, but not without culture.”

The Wooden Vine, on Tryon Street in Uptown Charlotte has an amazing selection of wine from all over the world  hand selected by the owner and sommelier, David Soper, a Johnson and Wales graduate and Court of Master Sommeliers trained.

The wine list features something for everyone including over forty bottles of white wine including a wide variety of Champagne, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, and more. The wine list also includes over sixty bottles of red wine including a great selection of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Petite Sirah, and many more from famed wine countries like Spain, France, and Italy.

The list also caters to those with a taste of adventure. If you care to try an assortment of wines, the “Wine By The Glass” list has over 30 wines to choose from in all sorts of price ranges so everyone can find something they will enjoy.

For those that don’t enjoy wine (they do exist ), Uptown Charlotte’s Wooden Vine on Tryon also features some of the best beers in the city including Two Hearted Ale, Victoria Prima Pilsner, Sam Smith Imperial stout and more.
